I knew he could be a tank! I remember seeing Bismack Biyombo a few times during the preseason and he was grabbing boards with ease. Now sure those were preseason games but I saw potential in him.
And now he has done it in the Playoffs after finally being given a chance by the Raptors. If there’s a time to present yourself to the world, doing it in the Eastern Conference Finals is a good time to do it. And in a contract year no less. Because of that latter fact, Bismack isn’t wasting time and will decline his option and become a free agent according to ESPN’s Marc Stein.
Sources say Bismack Biyombo, meanwhile, will decline his $2.9 million option for 2016-17 by June 4 to be an unrestricted free agent July 1.

The floor figure teams are throwing around for Bismack Biyombo’s free agency, thanks to the magical Cap Spike of 2016, is a cool $15 million

Now I have all the confidence in the world that he will grow on this magical postseason. And I am glad that his value is not totally delusional, he is valued at $15 million which is great and affordable for many teams that need a rebounder, the Dallas Mavericks immediately come to mind. I’m sure that many teams will go for this young Congolese big man, and all the best to him. Big up Bismack Biyombo.
