Since its release, Morgan Cooper’s reimagination of The Fresh of Bel-Air, known to the world as Bel-Air, has managed to pull off the balancing act of maintaining the essence of the original series while taking his show to new heights. Along the way, Cooper and company have called on a number of veteran actors to add a little spice to the show. Through a season and change, Bel-Air has featured musical guests like Saweetie, star comedians like Marlon Wayans and stars of the original show like Tatyana Ali. This week, a new pair of stars are scheduled to make their way to the set of the Peacock series.
This Thursday, Peacock will be shooting live from the Banks family reunion. In the latest episode of the Jabari Banks-led series, Bill Bellamy and Anna Maria Horsford will make their debut on the show. Bellamy will play the role of Uncle Phil’s brother while Horsford will play the role of Phil’s mother.
In an early clip from the show, Bellamy, Horsford, Adrian Holmes (Phil Banks) and Cassandra Freeman (Vivian Banks) are playing a game of Spades. While much of the conversation centers around the game, Bellamy and Holmes do have a bit of back and forth regarding the possibility of their mother selling her home and moving to Bel-Air. Horsford doesn’t chime in, but it could be something that will play out over the episodes to come.
Bellamy and Horsford will make their Bel-Air debuts on Thursday, March 30. For now, check out a special preview clip below.
