Netflix has reportedly renewed its animated comedy series, Big Mouth, for an eighth and final season. Furthermore, the streaming platform has reportedly made the decision to cut off its spinoff series, Human Resources, after two seasons.
With its eighth season, Big Mouth will become Netflix’s longest-running animated series. Created by Andrew Goldberg, Nick Kroll, Mark Levin and Jennifer Flackett, the show features Jason Mantzoukas, Maya Rudolph, Jenny Slate, Jon Mulaney and Jessi Klein.
“Big Mouth follows the daily lives of a group of adolescents about to enter puberty. They find their lives turned around in a complex series of events, including wherein Andrew experiences a nightmare in which he grows up in an animated adult series. His two friends are along for the ride but begin to develop feelings for one another,” the show’s synopsis reads.
In 2022, eight-season series gave birth to its first and only spinoff series, Human Resources. With direction from the parent series’ creators, the show follows “the world of the monsters from Big Mouth.” The spinoff series features Aidy Bryant, Randall Parker and Keke Palmer.
