Unbeaten heavyweight prospect Bakhodir Jalolov has secured a date for his first fight with Top Rank. On August 26, the Olympic Gold Medalist will fight Nigeria’s Onoriode Ehwarieme on ESPN. Alongside Jalolov and Ehwarieme, Efe Ajagba will return to the ring in a heavyweight contest against Zhan Kossobutskiy. Ultimately, the three-fight ESPN broadcast will be headlined by a heavyweight battle featuring unbeaten heavyweight prospect Jared Anderson and Andriy Rudenko.
The August 26th heavyweight tripleheader will complete ESPN’s run of summer bouts that have featured Teofimo Lopez, Josh Taylor, Vasyl Lomachenko and Devin Haney among others. Closing out the season, Stephen Fulton Jr. will meet Naoya Inoue in Japan, Emmanuel Navarrete will fight Oscar Valdez and Callum Smith challenging Artur Beterbiev.
Looking ahead, Top Rank is eyeing a fight for Shakur Stevenson in November that will likely land on ESPN. Also, prospects and emerging contenders like Xander Zayas, Keyshawn Davis and Abdullah Mason hope to return to the ring in the fall. To top it all off, Teofimo Lopez may return to the ring to defend his super lightweight titles before the end of the year.
