Linking up with the folks at ASICS using their highly coveted Gel Lyte V, we are officially introduced to the ASICS x Feature Gel Lyte V ‘Prickly Pear’. This collaboration takes inspiration from the desert but to be more exact the Prickly Pear Cactus.

We are proud to announce our very first collaborative project with Asics. Designed on their coveted Gel-Lyte V silhouette ($140), the runner grabs inspiration from Las Vegas’ desert scenery, more specifically, the Prickly Pear Cactus. The low-top incorporates a combination of tan leather, suede and nubuck to embody the cactus concept. Embossed leather makes up the forefoot, representing the catcus’ prickly stems. Asics’ signature formstripes take on a tan-to-green gradient design, complimenting the green speckled laces and heel counter. Additional details include a gum-bottom symbolizing the desert sand, as well as an all-over cactus graphic on the insoles. Feature’s play symbol is seen on the right insole and tongue for a finishing touch.
