DC’s animated Harley Quinn series has officially received a premiere date on DC Universe. The Kaley-Cuoco-led series is set to premiere later this year on November 29th.
Harley Quinn will follow the titular villain following a break-up with the Joker. Her and Poison Ivy, along with a gaggle of other villains, will seek to earn a spot in the Legion of Doom. Cuoco stars as Quinn alongside Lake Bell as Poison Ivy, Alan Tudyk as The Joker, and Diedrich Bader as Batman. The seemingly endless cast list is absolutely stacked though as Ron Funches, JB Smoove, Jason Alexander, Wanda Sykes, Giancarlo Esposito, Natalie Morales, Jim Rash, Diedrich Bader, Tony Hale, Chris Meloni, Rahul Kohli, Sanaa Lathan, Vanessa Marshall, and Jacob Tremblay are also set to lend their voices.
The series was previously revealed to be a decidedly more adult take on the character than we’ve gotten before. And this R-rated tone lines up perfectly with the new Birds of Prey movie coming out next February. After the success of adult-oriented shows like Titans and Doom Patrol, it seems like DC is leaning heavily into their adult audience from here on out.
