Skaggs’s death was in connection with Eric Kay, who has been indicted on federal charges according to court documents, as mentioned in the tweet above from Nathan Fenno of the Los Angeles Times. Eric Kay, who was a former Angels employee, was reportedly supplying fentanyl to Skaggs, who ultimately died due to an overdose.
His toxicology report was released, indicating this was the case, a genuinely terrible tragedy, and now Kay is facing charges. The recent reports surrounding Kay’s charges indicated that he would distribute fentanyl and narcotics while he was working as a member of the media relations department. It was also noted that Kay was distributing to others as well, not just Skaggs.
Sadly, Skaggs would pass away at the age of 27 due to the overdose, but now Kay is facing charges in the wake of Skaggs’s passing.
