After beginning his career with the Las Vegas Raiders, Cooper was traded to the Dallas Cowboys for a first-round pick just over a year and a half ago. Cooper enjoyed incredible success with Dallas over the last season-plus and will now remain a Cowboy for at least five more years.
Cooper and Dak Prescott have built a solid rapport in their time together and will both return together as teammates next season. The Cowboys placed the exclusive franchise tag on Prescott earlier on Monday.
