The WNBA All-Star Weekend is just around the corner and the league just announced the participants in the Mountain Dew Three-Point Contest with the three-time champion from the Chicago Sky Allie Quigley coming back to defend the title at McCormick Place in Chicago.
“I’m so excited to be a part of the All-Star weekend in my hometown,” said Quigley. “After winning the event last year I really thought it would be my final time taking part. But the opportunity to compete one more time and to do so in Chicago was too good to pass up. I can’t wait to shoot in front of our home fans; it’s always a great time.”
Quigley will compete against Dallas Wings Arike Ogunbowale, Las Vegas Aces Kelsey Plum, Atlanta Dream rookie Rhyne Howard, Seattle Storm Jewell Loyd, and Washington Mystics Ariel Atkins.

Out of the six participants, four of them will have their first experience in the Three-Point Contest. This year’s competition marks Quigley’s fifth contest and Loyd third time competing.
The Three-Point Contest will take place after the WNBA Skills Challenge on Saturday, July 9. The All-Star festivities will be televised by ESPN.
