Robberies, killings and scamming have all become words associated with the sneaker culture. Not that getting robbed back in the day for your sneakers wasn’t around but it is at its peak now if you ask me. It kind of hits a nerve when I read stories about someone being killed or robbed for a pair of sneakers, it has never been that serious to me and is not worth it.
That brings us to this new story that has made its way onto the internet by way of Harris County, Texas. Apparently two teenagers were meeting up via: craigslist to sell the Air Jordans.
At the meet up there seemed to be an individual who is the suspect at hand who during a scuffle with the teens shot one of them twice.

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Deputy constables with Harris County Pct. 5 say a Craigslist deal gone bad led to a shooting late Monday.
It happened around 9 p.m. at a home in the 6100 block of E. Settlers Lake Circle, not far from N. Fry and W. Little York.
Constables said two young men were outside a home waiting for a potential buyer for a pair of Air Jordan shoes. The buyer arrived and allegedly tried to rob the 19-year-old seller at gunpoint. A scuffle ensued, and the gunman opened fire.
The 19-year-old victim was taken to the hospital by Life Flight in critical condition. His friend was not injured.
The suspect fled as constables arrived, but family members at the home said they believe the victim knows the shooter.
During the subsequent investigation, constables said they found a stolen Honda at the home. Officials said one arrest was made at the scene on a theft and possession of stolen property charge.
