While the release date is slated for this August 2015, there seems to be some news that has come to light in regards to this new Air Jordan 9 Retro who was originally being dubbed ‘Militia Green‘. Truth be told, the colorway is in fact White/Black-Militia Green but it is the nickname and inspiration behind the sneaker that we must share with you guys.
Remember the Michael Jordan statue out front of the United Center to commemorate MJ and celebrate his accomplishments as a Chicago Bull? Well on said statue Jordan is wearing a pair of 9s as he floats over his defenders.
Now with that cleared up doesn’t the militia green now give you that copper statue feel that I am pretty sure you didn’t have when we first got a look at these. I know I didn’t.
