While official word is still being waited on for the upcoming Nike Kobe ‘Fade To Black’ collection there is another Kobe collection that has been making its rounds on the internet. By way of Jordan Brand we should have all seen the Air Jordan Kobe Pack which consisted of the Air Jordan 3 and Air Jordan 8 in a black version and white version with them respectively flaunting Lakers’ colors. Taking to instagram, BaltSneakerShow let it be known that another Air Jordan from the list of Kobe Bryant PE’s would be releasing as well and in the picture were these, the Air Jordan 9 Retro and Air Jordan 7’s. Now I will admit for me, I guessed that it would be the 7’s, considering I am a big fan but obviously I was wrong. It is being said that the Air Jordan 9 Retro Kobe Bryant PE is set to drop along with the Air Jordan Kobe Pack but separately. Now has a date been confirmed? No but an expected month of November 2016 has been said to be when we can look for them to drop. Will they release for Black Friday? Maybe or will they release that Saturday? That’s also a possibility.
The colorway description is White/Concord-Tour Yellow and has a retail price of $190 which is the norm for Air Jordan releases now. The only thing we don’t know outside of the release date of course is if the retail pair will have the number “23” on the back which is standard or will they bless them with the 8 or even better the 24. I say go 8 on one shoe and 24 on the other shoe to make things that much more interesting. Regardless of the direction they go in the pictures shared are NOT the 2016 version. UPDATE: The folks at Marquee Sole and Swish.Supply provided the latest detailed pictures for the upcoming Air Jordan 9 Kobe.
UPDATE: Here is a first look at the Air Jordan 9 Retro ‘Kobe Bryant’ which is slated to release this November 2016. The official colorway description is White/Concord-Tour Yellow and as you can see from the additional pictures added, the sneakers will feature the number “23” on the back heels so my prediction was wrong.
