Starting back in 2014 Jordan Brand released what was known as the Air Jordan 6 Retro ‘Championship Pack’ or the ‘Cigar’ and ‘Champagne’. This pack was to commemorate Michael Jordan’s first championship as a Chicago Bull and the celebratory act of popping a bottle of champagne along with MJ’s favorite, lighting a cigar. Well to carry on tradition for Mike’s next championship which resulted in a back to back, we received an Air Jordan 7 Retro ‘Championship Pack’. This Champ Pack showcased the 7’s in a similar fashion like the 6’s but taking on a different approach as far as ‘Cigar’ and ‘Champagne’ goes it gave this Champ Pack an identity of it’s own compared to it’s predecessor. Those dropped in 2015. We are here now in 2016 which means just like MJ and his Bulls we are getting a three peat of our own or in other words an Air Jordan 8 ‘Championship Pack’.
Today via twitter, @zsneakerheadz who has been known to provide us with early information took the liberty to let the cat out the bag on what we can expect from this years ‘Champ Pack’. In the series of tweets he informed us that we can expect to see one white and one black Air Jordan 8. Next we were informed that the black pair has a premium leather upper, a glossy finish on the heel with splatter paint and lastly confetti design on the side pod. Now that was just one sneaker, he then went on to let us know about the white pair which sounds just as good; semi-icy sole which will be accompanied by speckles, gold will be added on the side pod and the heel is shiny white. Not to mention, the white pair will have gold insoles with finger prints and the black pair will sport confetti on the sock-liner and on the insole.
Now none of this is confirmed, until confirmation you have to take the info with a grain of salt but this source has yet to be wrong so it is what it is at this point. I hope this information pans out because they sound good to me. As of right now also as you can guess there is no pictures but we will continue to monitor this information for you guys accordingly. UPDATE: Things start to get interesting with the upcoming Air Jordan 8 ‘Championship Pack’ as more pictures hit the internet showing in detail what we can expect when they release this June 25th. The ‘Confetti’ and ‘Champagne’ get represented well as we notice each pair come with a bag of confetti. The new pictures come from ICY HEAT SOLE.
UPDATE: Here is a first look at both colorways in the Air Jordan 8 ‘Championship Pack’. The Air Jordan 8 ‘Confetti’ and the Air Jordan 8 ‘Champagne’ put the finishing touches on Michael Jordan’s first three peat with the Chicago Bulls. The Air Jordan 8 ‘Confetti’ has a colorway description of Black/Metallic Gold-Anthracite and the Air Jordan 8 ‘Champagne’ is Light Bone/Metallic Gold-White. Both will retail as mentioned for $250 and will be sold separately.
