Originally thought to be dubbed ‘Space Jam’ it is now confirmed that the Air Jordan 5 Retro ‘Pro Stars‘ is the nickname and here is what led to that. As we know the official colorway for the ‘Pro Star’ 5’s is White/Infrared 23-Light Poison Green-Black but it is the inspiration that has led to this, the 1991 animated cartoon ‘Pro Stars’.
The show aired from September to December and starred Michael Jordan, Bo Jackson and Wayne Gretzky who were fighting crime and helping the youth. As you can see each character wears one of respective colors in the shoes.
Aside from the colors popping on the shoe, it is the 3M reflective tongue which puts the icing on the cake.
