As we know, back in the 2002-2003 NBA season Kobe Bryant was a sneaker free agent. After a stint with adidas, several brands were looking to court the Los Angeles Lakers’ star shooting guard. With Nike and Jordan Brand providing young Kobe Bryant, who still at this point wore number 8, with some player exclusives, we know who he eventually signed with.
While he is currently on his farewell tour and on his last signature shoe with the Nike Kobe 11 it will come as to no surprise several sneakers that were apart of key highlights or certain milestones in Bean’s career will eventually make their way back onto retailers shelves. Albeit the sneakers seen here are not Nike’s but they were still apart of a very important time of KB’s career. Since the very first time we saw him wear the Air Jordan 3 Retro PE in a Lakers colorway along with the Air Jordan 8 Retro PE, fans have had these two on their bucket list or politically speaking (in sneaker terms) ‘Grails’ list.
Never seeing a release, now would be more than perfect so with this news being reported that we can expect an Air Jordan Kobe Pack PE in limited quantities, this is more than exciting. The only catch is, according to the source ajordanxi, the pack will be xpected to retail for $500 and will be dropping in accordance to All-Star weekend.
Speaking of All-Star Weekend, the Nike Air Zoom Huarache 2K4 ‘All-Star’ which was worn by Kobe Bryant as well released recently so the dots are certainly connecting with this Air Jordan Kobe Pack.
As of right now, none of this is confirmed but when more news presents itself we will keep you guys updated accordingly. Let us know down in the comments your thoughts, will these be a DEF Cop or DEF Not (don’t know why I’m asking that) if they happen to actually release.
