As interesting as the nickname sounds, it will all makes sense soon enough, if true. The Air Jordan 2 Retro ‘Radio Raheem’ is set to release this upcoming Spring 2016 along with the other Spring 2016 releases expect to drop that we already were given the heads up about.
This specific 2, which is nicknamed after a character from Spike Lee’s ‘Do The Right Thing’ will fall in line with the supposed 2016 release of the Air Jordan 4 Retro ‘White Cement’ which sports the ever so popular NIKE AIR branding. What is the correlation? Buggin Out, another character from the movie wore them as well which will always be remembered for the classic scene when someone stepped on his shoes.
Could this lead up to more colorways? Why is this colorway dubbed ‘Radio Raheem’? Well If you notice the eyelets where the laces go are blue, purple and orange which if I am not mistaken matches the colors in Radio Raheems shirt in the movie and the denim blue matches his shorts.
