The newest member to the join the Air Jordan 2 Retro family is this one, “Iron Purple”. I honestly don’t know what led to Jordan Brand to color way but these aren’t that bad. The 2’s have their moments with fans, some are digging them and some aren’t. Well today we have some release details from the folks over at Foot Locker which should be able to help you guys out if you plan on copping.

It’s been a big year thus far for the Retro 2 as Jordan Brand has introduced a few modern colorways, most notably Infrared 23 and Nightshade, to liven up the classic silhouette. Another one making it’s debut this weekend is the “Iron Purple” colorway. Two shades of purple—Iron Purple and Dark Concord—mark this retro that also features an Infrared 23 Wings logo and speckled midsole and laces. The upper features a unique blend of materials, with an embossed pattern on the heel and toe area along with leather and Nubuck. In partnership with mall management, SELECT Foot Locker and House of Hoops by Foot Locker stores will implement a sweepstakes ticket procedure* in order to purchase the Air Jordan 2 Retro “Iron Purple” (on sale 5/24/14 for $150). The sweepstakes tickets will be given out Wednesday, May 21st and Thursday, May 22nd. If your ticket number is selected, you will be notified by phone on Friday, May 23rd.
