All Summer ’16
I know that lyric has probably been seen, heard or used everywhere at this point but of course with Drake that tends to happen. With the release of his highly anticipated album ‘Views’ on the way, we can’t forget about his Jordan Brand line which has always sold out just as fast as it releases. Personally any Drake Air Jordan is an automatic ‘myth’ in my eyes because I see more sneakers being constantly sold in the aftermarket than worn so basically they don’t exist. Hopefully that made sense but for those who know me will understand. Anyway, The Air Jordan 10 ‘OVO’ in both their respective white and black colorways have come and go, so one has to wonder what is next from the self-proclaimed “6 God” and Jumpman.
News has recently broke that we could expect for the Air Jordan 12 Retro ‘OVO’ to be next up and release sometime this summer. The timing of this release only makes sense simply because the Air Jordan 12 is celebrating it’s 20th anniversary. The Air Jordan 12 Retro ‘OVO’ is decked out in the that Summit White and has gold accents throughout. According to @_PO2345, who first hinted at the sneakers proposed release date said that the highly coveted sneaker would release this July but it was @DJFolk who provided the news that the release date would actually be July 30th. There is a catch with the July 30th news, this date is described to be a “Place Holder” date. This simply means, it could be subject to change but with OVO Fest set for July expect for them to drop in accordance with it.
Also lets not forget that the 306 Yonge Street Jordan Brand location is expected to re-open permanently in Toronto so I wonder if that will take place in July as well to make all of this one big event with OVO Fest and the Air Jordan 12 release.
