There has been plenty of talk that the Air Jordan 11 Retro ‘Space Jam’ will be making a return this year, 2016. Being that it will be the 20th anniversary for the movie Space Jam itself, the return of this beloved and highly coveted AJ11 only makes sense to happen. If you happened to have been on social media today, the sneaker community has been in an uproar over this picture seen here that was provided by Hichem.og. Many claiming the picture to be fake, the shoe to not be a sample or that this return of the colorway isn’t going to happen at all.
When it comes to early picture leaks the shoe is usually a sample and with this one here, that same rule applies. The Space Jam 11 shown is said to be a sample for December 2016 but considering there is no confirmation on this we have to take this information with a grain of salt.
While more information regarding this years December Air Jordan release will dwindle its way out as the months go on, many of us sure do hope the return of the ‘Space Jams’ is actually true but until then we have to play the waiting game. UPDATE: It has been confirmed that the Air Jordan 11 Retro ‘Space Jam’ baring “45” will now release this December 10th. The retail price is $220. There are also new detailed pictures.

UPDATE: Here is the first full look at the upcoming 2016 Air Jordan 11 Retro ‘Space Jam’. The 2016 version is set to look like the 1995 original version. As you know 45 will be on the heel, NIKE AIR branding will be on the insole and as you see from the full picture, the cut of the 2016 Space Jam’s are identical to the 1995 version.
UPDATE: According to the preview pictures provided by Swish Supply, My Sole and Publish Your Kicks, the upcoming 2016 Air Jordan 11 Retro ‘Space Jam’ is expected to have 45 on the heel as opposed to the traditional 23 we are accustomed to.
UPDATE: According to a source the Air Jordan 11 Retro ‘Space Jam’ is said to be returning for the 20th Anniversary in its true OG form, the way they were for MJ during his Space Jam movie. It is said the main difference is that the Jumpman on the tongue will be concord and not royal blue. We also have a first preview courtesy of @zsneakerheadz of the upcoming 2016 Air Jordan 11 Retro ‘Space Jam’ which proves the difference in color as well as the stitched number ’23’ which comes the MJ PE’s in the movie.
UPDATE: Today (2/24/16) it was made known that the ‘True Blue’ Air Jordan 3 OG with NIKE AIR branding will be making its return for Black Friday. This came by way of Sole Collector. Now just a little while ago via Twitter, trusty Air Jordan release date supplier @J23app revealed the same news of the True Blues but then went on to confirm that the Air Jordan 11 Retro ‘Space Jam’ was returning this December. The Space Jams return falls in line with the 20th anniversary for the movie Space Jam
