During the grand opening of the 32 South State Street, the new All Jordan Brand location in Chicago, there was a display of upcoming Spring 2016 releases from Jumpman. As you can imagine there were a few scheduled releases for 2016 we have graced our eyes on prior to the grand opening this past Saturday. That was until this rather interesting colorway for the heavily popular Air Jordan 1 made an appearance. Now we all know the jokes about MJ and his taste in denim which has led to hashtags like #MJDenim or the never not funny #NTDenim, well it appears Jordan Brand is using this to their disposal. With the gold plated Air Jordan wings logo these can be considered apart of the Pinnacle 1 series.
The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG isn’t a stranger to having denim used as a material on its silhouette as we have saw past releases like ‘Family Forever’ which was made by MJ’s kids in honor of their Dad. Lets not forget the Levi’s x Air Jordan 1 23/501 collaboration which saw elephant print hit all the denim material that graced that sneaker. So with that said I am not surprised by this new iteration especially with the Air Jordan 4 Retro GS ‘Denim’ expected to drop as well.
