Chicago native and four-star guard Adam Miller has committed to the Illinois Fighting Illini. The 2020 guard prospect is a major get for head coach Brad Underwood and a program that has been searching for an identity for a handful of years. Illinois has been making some splashes in the recruiting world and this is another big step. The Chicago shooting guard is ranked 32nd in the class.

Adam Miller is the third recruit in the 2020 recruiting class to commit to the Fighting Illini. He joins four-star point guard Andre Curbelo and three-star power forward Coleman Hawkins in the recruiting class. Curbelo is a fellow top 60 recruit while Hawkins is just outside the top 200. Chicago has a rich history of producing NBA talent and Adam Miller hopes to join that list after a likely multi-year stint with the Illinois college basketball team.
He picked the Fighting Illini over what some would consider more prestigious schools like Louisville and Arizona. It is certainly been a long time since Illinois was competing for a National Championship by any stretch of the imagination. Miller is without a doubt one of the best recruits the team has been able to land in the past two decades.
The program has often lost in-state talent to other schools, but landing Miller could help them improve on a 2019-20 season that is projected to be a solid year for the program. This is a major pickup for the Fighting Illini and now they look to improve their program even more in the 2020-21 season. This moves the Fighting Illini up to 10th nationally and first in the Big Ten for the 2020 recruiting class.
