Season two of Power Book II: Ghost isn’t complete, but the cast and crew has already begun filming season three in New York. While many expect Mary J. Blige, Woody McClain and several other fan favorites to make it through the season two finale, there may be a change coming to Stansfield University. Deadline has reported that actor Petey McGee will join the cast in a “heavily recurring role” next season. According to the report, McGee’s character is described as a “Hotep grad student and TA at an Ivy League university.”
Prior to joining the Starz hit series, McGee was a student in Rutgers University’s MFA program. His previous work includes a role in Morgan Cooper’s U Shoot Videos, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival two years ago. He also worked on The Winter’s Tale and Cymbeline at Shakespeare’s Globe in the UK.
It is unclear when season three will debut, but the season two finale will air this Sunday on Starz.
