Season three of Verzuz will kick off next month. Earlier today, Swizz Beatz, Timbaland and the team at Triller has announced that Anthony Hamilton and Musiq Soulchild will god head-to-head on February 15, 2022 in Hollywood, California.
“This one is for the lovers,” Verzuz wrote in an Instagram post on Monday afternoon.
Each singer-songwriter enters the event with a strong catalog of their own. Over the last 25 years, Musiq Soulchild has produced records like “Just Friends” and “If U Leave” with Mary J. Blige. His work has earned him more than a dozen Grammy nominations, thirteen Billboard Hot 100 entires and a BET Award. Meanwhile, Anthony Hamilton has a platinum plaque for Comin’ Where I’m From, a Grammy award and classics like “Why” with Jadakiss.
The battle is set to kick off on February 15, 2022 at 8:30 p.m. ET in Hollywood, California. Tickets for the event are currently on sale.
