The New York Yankees have announced that their manager, Aaron Boone, has undergone a major medical procedure. Boone underwent a heart surgery that installed a pacemaker, it was reportedly successful and he is resting while away from the team who is in Florida for Spring Training.
The Yankees put some support for Boone on Twitter with the following graphic:

Boone who is 47 years old is no stranger to heart procedures. He underwent open heart surgery in 2009 and now is having the pacemaker put in. The long-term effect should not be to worrisome for Yankees fans as Boone is looking to be back on the ball field sooner than later.
The Yankees have been a powerhouse of the American League East the past few seasons but have been unable to get to the later part of the postseason amid injury battles. But this offseason they locked down their star player in the form of D.J. Lemahieu who signed a contract extension with the organization.
For the Yankees, their manager has been a solid addition after the departure of Joe Girardi and Boone has stepped into that role nicely. The Yankees will hope for a quick and seamless transition back to the field for Boone who is looking to lead his team back to the postseason once again.
