While most of us are waiting for 50 Cent to weigh in on Ja Rule’s latest foray into advertisement, he took time to share some music related news. In a brief Instagram post, the New York icon posted artwork with a caption that reads, “New Pop Smoke [featuring] 50 Cent and Roddy Ricch [is coming] soon!”
Earlier this month, Pop Smoke’s team rolled out the first single from the late New York rapper’s posthumous album. “Make It Rain” features a verse from Rowdy Rebel and production from Yamaica.
“I make it rain on whoever/I make it rain, that Woo weather/B*tch, I’m a dog, a blue devil/I got the h*es like Hugh Hefner,” Pop Smoke raps on the song’s hook.
Pop Smoke’s posthumous album was supposed to be release on June 12, 2020, but was pushed back. His former manager, Steven Victor, let fans know of the project’s new release in an Instagram post honoring the late musician.
“Given recent events, we have decided to delay the release of his album out of respect for the movement,” Victor wrote.
Pop Smoke’s new project will hit streaming services on July 3, 2020. Unfortunately, we don’t have a release date for this new single. Hopefully, it’ll be out this Friday.
