Chadwick Boseman is trading his claws in for a badge in the upcoming film 21 Bridges. And with just under a month until it’s slated to hit theaters, STX Entertainment dropped the last trailer for the film.
Produced by the Russo Brothers and directed by Brian Kirk, 21 Bridges follows Boseman’s Andre Davis, a detective for the NYPD who’s known as the guy who kills cop killers. When a ‘simple’ robbery turns into a bloodbath for the responding officers Davis launches a manhunt for the men responsible. To keep them from escaping Manhattan, he has all 21 bridges in and out of the city shut down and the tunnels sealed off. But as he pulls on the string the criminals left behind, he begins unraveling a conspiracy that seemingly runs throughout the entire NYPD.
This newest trailer doesn’t really show us anything we haven’t already seen in previous trailers. Thankfully, the studio has shied away from revealing any major spoilers for the film. And it actually went against convention by making this trailer about as half as long as the most recent trailer from Comic-Con. Something this newest trailer does give us though is maybe the year’s best one-liner when, after another officer calls him ‘Trigger,’ Chadwick Boseman responds, “You better have perfect diction calling me a trigger.”
