The Mandalorian is coming to town y’all. Just a few weeks out from the launch of Disney’s streaming service, Disney+, and the continuation of their bid to take over the world, the company dropped a new trailer for The Mandalorian on Tuesday.
For the most part, the new trailer doesn’t reveal too much we haven’t already seen. We see more of Pedro Pascal’s titular character as he gets into trouble all over the place. Werner Herzog’s character is also featured heavily as his voice runs over basically the entire trailer. We also get a better look at Giancarlo Esposito’s character multiple times. Most interestingly though, we get confirmation, through Herzog’s soliloquy, that the show will explore the impact of a galaxy-sized revolution and the difficult process of rebuilding in the wake of a literal evil empire.
Filming on the series wrapped back in February but Disney and series creator Jon Favreau apparently have confidence to spare. Back in July, the director revealed that he’d already begun writing the show’s second season. And, considering how incredible the trailers have been so far, I can’t say I blame him.
