2023 Final Four
The second game of 2023 Final Four featured the two high major teams. UConn has been dominant this season in the 2023 NCAA Tournament. Miami has been gritty and has taken down some great teams. The winner would advance for the right to compete in a National Championship game.
The Huskies started on a 9-0 run and never looked back in the first half of the game. Adama Sanogo hit two threes to start the game and set the pace early. UConn led at halftime 37-24 and the Hurricanes had a lot of work to do in the second half if they hoped to compete. A bid to the National Championship was on the line with 20 minutes left to play in the game.
The second half was more of the same with UConn being too much for the Hurricanes to handle. They just never worked their way back into the game and the Huskies won the game 72-59. Adama Sanogo led the way with 21 points, ten rebounds, one assist, and two blocks in the game. UConn will compete on Monday for their fifth National Championship trophy against the San Diego Aztecs. The high major program will take on the mid-major in a David and Goliath matchup. Could the Huskies have a case for Blue Blood status if they win?
