
The long-anticipated 2022 Jumpman Invitational matchups have been announced ahead of the college basketball season. Both the Men’s and Women’s programs of the North Carolina Tar Heels, Michigan Wolverines, Florida Gators, and Oklahoma Sooners will be at the two-day event in Charlotte, North Carolina. When the event was announced it was pitched as the following: “At the intersection of culture, entertainment and hoops is college basketball’s newest competition – the Jumpman Invitational.” This two-day event will take place on December 20th and 21st in the Queen City.

The 2022 Jumpman Invitational is the first year the college basketball event will take place. December 20th will feature the four women’s programs matching up against each other. The North Carolina Tar Heels will take on the Michigan Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. EST and after that, the Florida Gators will take on the Oklahoma Sooners at 9:30 p.m. EST. The next day on December 21st the matchups and times will be the same, but with the men’s programs taking the court.

The description of the event is the following statement by the event sponsors: “The latest jewel in the Queen City’s sporting crown will feature play between four Jordan Brand-sponsored programs – uniquely showcasing both men’s and women’s teams — while also celebrating basketball culture like only the Jordan Brand can, bringing the energy to Charlotte. Be ready to witness the evolution of college basketball starting in December of 2022.”
Tickets for the 2022 Jumpman Invitational are not currently on sale, but they soon will be. Charlotte, North Carolina is set to host two fun days of college basketball in December this year. Def Pen Sports will continue to cover any more news about the event.
