2021 Four Star John Butler committed to Florida State, giving the Seminoles their third top 100 commit for the class of 2021. Butler joins Matthew Cleveland and Bryce McGowens in FSU’s 2021 class, making their class the 2nd best in the country according to 247 Sports. Florida State has been on a roll as of late, landing Butler a little over a week after landing four-star Matthew Cleveland. This class will give Florida State a strong group, that will look to continue the run of success in recruiting and in the ACC and NCAA tournament. Look for Leonard Hamilton to add a couple more pieces to his 2021 class.
What John Butler Will Bring to FSU
Butler is a 7-1 190 pound big man out of South Carolina and is a great athlete. Although he will need to fill out more, especially playing in a league like the ACC, he will have the benefit of a college weight room and nutrition program will help on that front. With his athleticism, Butler is able to run the floor smoothly, get up and down the court, and is able to keep oppennets in from of him on defense. On the offensive side of the ball, Butler is a versatile big man, who can hit shots from the perimeter and uses his athleticism to blow by opponents. He is exactly the kind off big man that Leonard Hamilton has brought to FSU and should be a great fit for the Seminoles.
