Like many of the NBA greats, a rite of passage as a rising star was to step foot in NYC, the mecca of basketball. In the heart of it all is the legendary Rucker Park in Harlem. Allen Iverson was one of the many who graced the court and put on a show as many spectators watched in awe.
Looking to showcase his talents Iverson along with NYC’s own Stephon Marbury took the court in June of 1996. Playing apart of the Entertainment Basketball Classic is honestly on a lot of NBA players bucket list and if they say otherwise that is certainly a lie.
The EBC x Reebok Question collaboration was curated by the folks at Reebok along with EBC’s founder Greg Marius. The silhouette is dressed in a colorway that was inspired by the jersey A.I. wore in the game. The sneakers feature details like jersey mesh and what is described as “hairy” suede in gold with full-grain leather in dressed in navy.
The last highlight of this colorway is the words on the heel which read “Standing Room Only” which references to the fact the park was filled to beyond capacity and people were left to stand along the sidelines.
Look for the EBC x Reebok Classic to release this August 5, 2016 on Reebok.com and select retailers. Let us know down in the comments your thoughts, will these be a DEF Cop or DEF Not.
