Cara Delevingne seems to be misunderstood….and that’s ok.
However, a few TV anchors from Good Day Sacramento didn’t seem to have time for Cara’s antics during her more than awkward press interview.
The model/actress appeared on the morning show to promote her new film Paper Towns and the after the first question, the interview got a tad tense and the anchors called her out on her less-than-enthusiastic personality.
Everything went downhill after one of the anchors introduced her as ‘Carla’. When asked if she read the book, Delevigne sarcastically said, “No, I I didn’t read the book or the script. I just winged it!”
Throughout the interview, Delevingne gave several sarcastic responses and shady looks to the questions. When asked if she relates to her “Paper Towns” character, Margo, she jokingly replied, “No, I actually hate her.”
One of the co-hosts asked Delevingne if she was “just exhausted,” and she explained that the John Green movie had just had its premiere the night before, and that it was an emotional evening.
The interview reached a head when the anchors asked if she’s irritated or it’s just the news show, and she responded, “No, I think it’s just you.”
“We’ll let you go then, how ’bout that?” one anchor said. “Why don’t you go take a little nap, maybe get a Red Bull?”
After the interview ended, the anchors continued to make comments about Delevingne, with one host declaring that she “was in a mood.”
“You make $5 million for six weeks of work, you can pretend to talk to ‘Good Day Sacramento’ with some ‘oomph’!” one host said.
Delevingne took to Twitter and fired back on Wednesday.
“Some people just don’t understand sarcasm or the British sense of humour,” she tweeted in reference to the interview.
