At the end of 2017, DJ Whoo Kid delivered his 10 Street Commandment mixtape and a video for “Run Off”. Shortly after, he released “Can’t Lose” featuring Twanee. Most recently, he has been working on his new album that is going to be executive produced by Dr. Dre and 50 Cent. In preparation for his next project, DJ Whoo Kid has released “NY Sh*t” featuring Young Buck and Raekwon.
When discussing the song with Hot New Hip Hop, Young Buck said, “NYC is like my second home, and I wanted to give back to the streets on this one. Whoo Kid and I went back into our classic mixtape mode for this one.”
The record has the gritty, New York street feel that Young Buck described. He opens the song by rapping, “There’s no need to leave. I brought the south here. In all five boroughs, they know what is about here. It’s a whole other here. They call me when there are droughts here. I’m not saying I’m a kingpin. I’m just saying I know the routes here.” Later Raekwon raps, “We’re cocaine killers. All we know are guns and dope. We’re bagging up powder. They call it whitey powder.”
It’s unclear whether or not this song will make it onto DJ Whoo Kid’s upcoming project, but we sure hope it does. Look above for the full song and stay tuned fore more updates.
