Last night (Jan 19), Geoff Johns and Kevin Smith presented the world some of the first looks into the Justice League with the Dawn Of The Justice League special. Outside of Batman V Superman, the first pieces of footage for the 2017 Wonder Woman movie were shown. Geoff tells Kevin that since most don’t really know the origins of Wonder Woman, that the movie will go in-depth about where she derives from and the history of the Amazons.
Wonder Woman is then followed up by the remaining parts of the Justice League. The special then welcomes Jason Momoa and he explains the concept behind Aquaman aka Arthur Curry. With doing so, we get some cool early concept arts for the King of Atlantis.
Next up we have, The Flash. The character that caused quite a stir when casted — not because of a bad casting or anything, but because of how good Grant Gustin is portraying Barry Allen in the on-going series on The CW. Ezra Miller will in-fact take on the cinematic role of Barry Allen and with early concept arts shown, there is a slight change to the suit. Instead of the white circle with a lighting bolt striking through it, the suit will just have the lighting bolt.
Now we have Victor Stone aka Cyborg. Ray Fisher — who was an early casting — will take on the role as Cyborg. Victor Stone was a star athlete in High School up until a horrific accident forced his father into saving his life, therefore creating Cyborg. Cyborg is also the first Teen Titan to make it into the Justice League.
Lastly we are introduced to the Green Lantern Corps. What Green Lantern will DC bring in? Hal Jordan or John Stewart? A huge question that has finally been answered, without being answered. DC will be bringing in both Hal and Stewart along with the rest of the corporation.
