Zion Williamson, the five-star recruit who has been turning heads with off the wall athleticism spent the weekend at USA Basketball Minicamp. In video captured by Overtime, Williamson shows off his defensive prowess and his ability to put the ball on the floor and make a play.
The 6’7, 270 pounds senior out of Spartanburg High School swats away a layup on one end and runs the run floor to receive a pass for a wide-open, tomahawk dunk. It is a pretty impressive play. By the reactions of those in attendance, they all thought so as well.
Also in attendance to try out for USA basketball was fellow five-star high school recruit, Emmitt Williams. Williams was just as impressive as his teammate. Both had absolute monster dunks.
Williamson is just one of the names you can expect to see on the USA Basketball circuit in the future. Alongside future stars like Marvin Bagley, Michael Porter Jr and Bol Bol. The future of USA Basketball is in good hands once LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant step aside.
