Baton Rouge rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again earns his first No. 1 album with Al Youngboy 2.
Released on October 11, the album follows up YoungBoy Never Broke Again’s 2017 mixtape AI YoungBoy. Billboard reports in its debut week, A1 YoungBoy 2 earned 110,000 equivalent album units with just 3,000 coming from traditional album sales. Of these, 1,000 were in TEA units, while 106,000 were in SEA units with the latter equating to 144.7 million on-demand audio streams.
Post Malone ranks at No. 2 with his latest effort Hollywood’s Bleeding. Summer Walker’s record-breaking Over It comes in at No. 3 and DaBaby holds strong at No. 4 with his second album of 2019, KIRK. The top-five is closed out by Lil Tjay’s debut album True 2 Myself with 5,000 equivalent album units earned. Taylor Swift, Wale, Billie Eilish, Chris Brown and Young Thug round out the top 10.
Al YoungBoy 2 marks YoungBoy Never Broke Again’s first release since his latest prison stint.
