It’s been five years since Young Drop delivered a solo album and more than two years since he appeared on a compilation album. However, that could change in the near future. During a conversation with Bootleg Kev, the Atlanta native revealed he was working on a new album with his longtime friend and collaboration, Clifford “T.I.P” Harris.
“Me and T.I.P just actually been working on some stuff. Me and him are going to try to get an album out,” he told the Real 92.3 on-air personality.
“Like a joint album?” Bootleg Kev followed up.
“Yeah, [it’s a] joint [album]. What we’re doing right here is showing brotherhood. There are a lot of cliques that started, [but are] not together. All of us together,” he answered.
Young Dro and T.I. were a dynamic duo for much of the 2000s, appearing songs like “Shawty Lean,” “Freeze Me” with Gucci Mane and “Ain’t I” with Yung LA. More recently, they reconnected with Big Kuntry King and Mac Boney for a Pimp Squad Click reunion. Like Young Dro and T.I., the group also is working toward releasing a new album in the near future.
“[The] album is on the way,” Young Dro told Bootleg Kev.
“Man, it’s been a hell of a ride recording with the guys and getting back in there. We’ve got some good a—s music.”
There’s no release date for either project yet, but P$C has already delivered a new single called “RICO.”
