The world of music was shaken this afternoon following the sudden death of Young Dolph. CBS News reports that the best-selling rapper was visiting a local bakery when he was shot and killed by an unidentified gunman.
“The preliminary information indicates that the victim is Adolph Robert Thornton, Jr. However, this information will be confirmed once the identification process is completed,” a statement from the Memphis Police Department reads.
“This shooting is another example of the senseless gun violence we are experiencing locally and nationwide. Our hearts go out to the Thornton family and all who are affected by this horrific act of violence.”
Immediately after news of Young Dolph’s death was shared with the public, a number of entertainers took to social media to share their condolences.
“I always give flowers to the living. [Young] Dolph is one of the only [people] to make me go harder believe it or not,” Westside Gunn tweeted.
“Young Dolph had an incredibly tough early life. He worked his a** off to build something and was in the process of making his cousin a star in his own right,” podcaster Felix Biederman added.

LONG LIVE DOLPH
Only person to ever pull up to the cave with a fleet of cars and made sure to shake every single persons hand he met. Legendary artist and person.
