Griselda‘s own Westside Gunn has reportedly suffered a number of medical setbacks this week. On Wednesday, the New York native took to Instagram to reveal that he had been admitted to a nearby hospital for an undisclosed medical ailment.
“[I need to get] some rest [and] I’ll be back,” he wrote on Instagram
“Thank y’all so much for the love. [You] know I love [you], all even the haters! Happy holiday! I didn’t realize I had 60 points in the [third] quarter [and] I should’ve benched myself. Some [of you] should be thankful [that] I’m giving y’all a head start anyway. I’m still talking sh*t, but if [you] know me [you] know I’m humble. Allahu Akbar. See y’all next year.”
One day later, he returned to Instagram to inform fans that he has tested positive for COVID-19. According to Westside Gunn, this is the second time this month that he has been treated after testing positive for the virus.
“Pray for me. They had to call for emergency [responders],” he explained.
“I couldn’t [breathe]. It’s under control now, but [I’m on the way] to the hospital.”
