Wale is returning to the stage! On Friday, November 10, the Washington, D.C. native will celebrate the 10th anniversary of his third studio album, The Gifted, at The John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts.
Wale is no stranger to performing at the area’s most historic venues. Not only did he kick off the new year at The Fillmore Silver Spring for a decade straight, but he also performed at the White House during the Obama-Biden administration. Now, he will turn his attention to a venue that has welcomed many of the region’s greatest performers, including Dave Chappelle and Marvin Gaye.
Wale’s celebration of The Gifted arrives at a transitional period for the hit-making songmaker. Recently, he released a new single called “Max Julien” and inked a deal with Def Jam. Moving forward, it appears that he’s preparing to release a full-length project.
