The year 2019 was filled with a number of strong albums ranging from Snoh Aalegra’s Ugh, Those Feels Again to Young Thug’s So Much Fun. While there were a number of tough projects that graced DSPs, an argument could be made that Wale’s Wow…That’s Crazy is the best project to be released that year. Complete with features from Westside Boogie, Jeremih, Megan Thee Stallion, Kelly Price and several other stars, Wale shined in what could be described as his most introspective release yet. From slower records like “Expectations” to more uptempo records like “Poledancer” with Megan Thee Stallion, Wale brought it all. In fact, the project was so great that it raised one question. How would Wale top it? Tonight, Wale provided an answer.
Throughout the past two years, Wale delivered an incredible EP called The Imperfect Storm and a standout feature on Big Sean’s Detroit 2. More recently, he has delivered “Angles” with Chris Brown and “Down South” featuring Maxo Kream and Yella Beezy. Now, he’s here to deliver his seventh studio album, Folarin 2.
