Good news! Vince Staples is seemingly working on new music.
On Monday, January 8, the California native posted a screenshot of a text message conversation to Instagram.
“If you’re hungry, and at the studio, we [are] down street frying chitlins,” the text messages read.
“Vince Staples Music 2024,” he adds in the caption.
Within the last five years, Vince Staples has remained active. Not only has he released three albums within the last half-decade, but he’s also toured with Childish Gambino and Tyler, The Creator. Also, he’s headlined the “Smile, You’re On Camera” tour and teased a television show. With all of that said, he was fairly quiet in 2023. Aside from a trio of collaborations with The Alchemist, Earl Sweatshirt and Tyler, The Creator, he elected not to release any music. However, he may return back to the new music rotation later in the year with another project.
