The San Antonio Spurs entered Friday Night’s all important matchup with the Houston Rockets sitting in the sixth seed in the Western Conference Playoffs. By night’s end, thanks to some other happenings around the league, they would be in the third seed.
San Antonio’s rise to third in the conference wouldn’t have been possible without some heroics from Spurs legendary big man, Tim Duncan.
Trailing by one with 6.1 seconds left, the Rockets MVP candidate James Harden couldn’t have asked for a better look at the rim. Harden was able to drive for what seemed like an easy layup But the always reliable Tim Duncan came and interrupted any plans Harden had.
Per usual, Harden was trying to lobby for a foul but after watching a few replays, it’s clear. Duncan got all ball first.
