Dallas Mavericks big man Dwight Powell played nine minutes last night in the Mavs win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Canadian stretch-four scored only two points last night and his only two points on the night came with a big dunk late in the game.
Powell’s power has been put on display on more than one occasion and his most memorable slam of the season, before this one, might have some during the 2016 BBVA Compass Rising Stars Game. Fittingly, Powell played both against and with Timberwolves in the Rising Stars Game and now it comes full circle with him dunking past Rising stars game opponent, Zach LaVine.
