Wait, what just happened?
That’s what many were saying towards the end of the Western Conference blowout win in the 2016 NBA All-Star Game when seemingly out of nowhere, a shot went in the basket.
No one knew what exactly happened when the cameras were focused on Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant as the star guard was making his rounds and saying his goodbyes to his peers in his final appearance in the 2016 NBA All-Star Game.
That mystery shot came from long-range marksman Stephen Curry. It came right after the Western Conference All-Stars did something they weren’t doing all game. Playing defense. They were doing all they could, including putting in Draymond Green as a defensive stopper and Anthony Davis as a rim protector, to prevent Indiana Pacers All-Star Paul George from breaking the All-Star Game scoring record.
Well, George didn’t get the record but Curry might have set the record for deepest shot made in an NBA All-Star Game.
