Indiana Pacers guard Victor Oladipo was named an All-Star this season for the first time in his career. He made the trip to Los Angeles with high hopes for a big weekend. First up for him was the 2018 NBA Slam Dunk Contest.
It was his second appearance in the contest and after a mildly promising appearance in 2015, all eyes were on Oladipo to put on a show. Unfortunately, he was the only player to unsuccessfully land a dunk in the first round and his second dunk of the night wasn’t all that much more appealing. He got some help from Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman with a mask straight from Wakanda but the actual dunk wasn’t that exciting. Oladipo finished with the lowest overall score in the 2018 NBA Slam Dunk contest.
An invite to a third dunk contest is extremely unlikely at this point after two underwhelming appearances. But a new video surfaced on Wednesday showing a possible third dunk hidden in his repertoire.

If Oladipo was able to pull off this 360 off-the-backboard dunk, that could have almost immediately secured him a 50 plus some sort of celebratory scream from Kenny ‘The Jet’ Smith. Utah Jazz rookie Donovan Mitchell came away with the trophy this year, so here’s hoping we get to see this in a game, somehow.
