In 2018, Valee has gone from being a trendsetter to the next big thing. This year, everyone from Tyler The Creator to Nicki Minaj has been accused of stealing the rapper’s flow. Instead of letting it hold him back, he has chosen to remain indifferent. During an interview with Complex, Valee simply said, “I never get the time to get mad because I’m so happy that they didn’t do it right.” Meanwhile, Valee has put his efforts into making great music all year long.
In 2018, the Chicago rapper found himself on tracks with the likes of Pusha T and Jeremih. More recently, he’s made appearances on Smino’s “Krushed Ice” and Kid Ink’s “Rain Dance”. Not to mention, he collaborated with Lil’ Yachty on TM88 and Southside’s “Hmmm”. With all of the success that he’s had in 2018, the Chicago native is looking even better as he heads into 2019.
To kick off his 2019 campaign, Valee has dropped a brand new single. The new record from the Chicago artist is called “About You” and it features D.R.A.M. Much like Valee, D.R.A.M. has been a trendsetter since he came into the game with his hit record “Cha Cha”, which laid the foundation for Drake’s “Hotline Bling”.
