Iowa State Cyclones freshman guard Tyrese Hunter has announced he is transferring to the Texas Longhorns. Hunter is viewed as one of the top transfer targets this offseason and had a long list of programs attempting to gain his talents. He committed to the Texas Longhorns over the Gonzaga Bulldogs, Kansas Jayhawks, Purdue Boilermakers, Louisville Cardinals, and Tennessee Volunteers. Head Coach Chris Beard continues to pull talent into the program as he attempts to win a National Championship with the Texas Longhorns.

Now Marcus Carr can play off the ball more – where he’s more comfortable and effective.

The Texas Longhorns are set to once again be a top 10 team entering the season with a chance to compete for both the Big 12 championship and the NCAA Championship. Tyrese Hunter should be a key player for Chris Beard and the Texas Longhorns moving forward.
