Over the course of her career, Tiffany Haddish has starred in many things including comedy specials, movies and television series. This week, she stepped into new territory. The accomplished comedian and actress is the star of Ty Dola $ign’s new “By Yourself” video.
Haddish opens the video by complaining about her significant other who is seemingly always thinking about himself. Midway through her rant, she stops, collects herself and moves on by herself. From there, Ty Dolla $ign, Bryson Tiller and Jhené Aiko take over.
“Well, is you single? Where my single ladies?/Stacked your bread and bought your own Mercedes/You your own boss, do it your way,” Ty Dolla $ign sings.
“You ain’t never ’bout no drama/You ain’t pressed/You want bigger things and better things/Put that work in, stay on your job.”
“By Yourself” is the first video release from Ty Dolla $ign this year. He ended 2020 by releasing the “Spicy” video with Post Malone and taking the NPR Tiny Desk stage. He also teased a new album, but it could be some time before the public hears it. For now, enjoy the “By Yourself” video from the California native.
