Head Coach Kenny Payne and the Louisville Cardinals have landed the commitment of 2024 five-star small forward Trentyn Flowers. Flowers also intends to reclassify to the 2023 class and join the Cardinals this Fall. Paybe is building a much better roster for next season after a disastrous first year with the Cardinals as their Head Coach. Flowers committed to the Louisville Cardinals over the North Carolina Tar Heels, Alabama Crimson Tide, Kansas Jayhawks, Creighton Bluejays, and Arkansas Razorbacks. The small forward has NBA aspirations and hopes that Louisville is the program that can get him to the next level.

Landing a five-star recruit like Trentyn Flowers is a massive win for Kenny Payne and the Louisville Cardinals. The team will need to win games next season or it could be his second and final season with the program. Flowers should be an immediate impact player heading into the program with real NBA potential. Sometimes reclassified players take some time to work into college basketball, but Flowers will have teammates that have some experience next season. He will also have some fellow 2023 recruits joining him.
Joining Trentyn Flowers at Louisville in the 2023 class is three talented four-star recruits. They are small forward Kaleb Glenn, small forward Curtis Williams Jr, and center Dennis Evans. Also joining the program is the former four-star point guard and Illinois Fighting Illini transfer Skyy Clark. Kenny Payne is likely not done in the transfer portal this off-season for Louisville.
